Requirements
- 8+ years in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related disciplines.
- At least 3 years in a people management or team leadership role.
- Proven experience leading and scaling data teams across platform, governance, or architecture domains.
- Experience driving large-scale data platform modernization initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Deep familiarity with modern data platform technologies and cloud environments (GCP required; Azure/AWS knowledge preferred).
- Solid understanding of distributed data systems, data pipelines, and ELT/ETL patterns.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
- Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, observability, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD practices, and developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision and roadmap for the Data Platform, Governance, and Architecture teams.
- Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a scalable, secure, and efficient data platform.
- Partner with Platform, AI, and Product Engineering leaders to ensure data architecture supports business needs.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of data engineers, analytics engineers, and architects.
- Establish clear career development paths, performance expectations, and coaching practices.
- Define and enforce data governance policies to ensure accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to maintain adherence to GDPR, LGPD, and CCPA.
- Guide the design of a flexible, future-proof data architecture.
- Represent the Data organization in company-wide initiatives regarding modernization and AI enablement.
