Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or other related engineering field.
- 5+ years of industry experience on backend web development & distributed systems.
- Experience working individually as well as in groups.
- Experience working with distributed teams, proficient in asynchronous and written communication.
- Experience building features & components from scratch and operating them.
- Expert with Python and/or Go.
- Proficient with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, and other AI native workflows.
- Growth-driven mindset.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Engineering Manager & Product Manager to craft the roadmap for the ACT team.
- Lead and architect Software Projects critical to Abnormal’s success with a team of engineers.
- Provide guidance and mentorship for junior members of the team.
- Collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Product Managers, and Go-To-Market teams.
- Raise the bar of excellence in engineering through knowledge sharing.
- Grow into a tech lead role for the AI Security Mailbox product.
- Own key deliverables from e2e within our division's quarterly roadmap.
- Provide direct leverage for the team by architecting and owning AI-native workflows.
