Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; J.D. or equivalent legal training preferred.
- 4–7 years of in-house experience in contract management or as legal counsel.
- Experience in technology transactions, specifically negotiating technical aspects of enterprise software and cloud licensing agreements.
- Proficiency in data security issues faced by technology companies.
- Familiarity with industry compliance standards such as NIST and ISO.
- Ability to handle live, customer-facing negotiations.
- Strong business judgment and technical literacy.
- Experience with European regulatory frameworks (DORA, EU AI Act, EBA guidelines) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft complex technology agreements with major enterprise customers.
- Serve as the lead voice on security terms in deal negotiations.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, InfoSec, Product Engineering, and Product Legal teams.
- Provide frontline legal guidance on security and contractual risk.
- Partner with senior counsel on complex regulatory questions and novel issues.
- Develop a deep understanding of Rubrik’s platform to represent its security posture.
- Engage in customer-facing negotiations with a solution-oriented approach.
