Requirements
- Doctorate-level degree (PharmD, PhD, or MD) in a life sciences discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in scientific communications and/or Medical Affairs.
- Demonstrated portfolio-level leadership across multiple assets.
- Deep expertise in publications strategy, medical education, and congress planning.
- Understanding of global drug development and regulatory processes.
- Experience in rare disease or specialty care areas.
- Ability to develop and execute enterprise-level communication strategies.
- Experience managing high-performing teams in a matrixed organization.
- Collaboration and influencing skills with senior leaders.
- Experience engaging with key opinion leaders and academic communities.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the global scientific communications strategy, integrating publications, medical education, and congress planning.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year scientific communications plan aligned with pipeline progression and regulatory milestones.
- Ensure consistent scientific narratives and enterprise-wide communication standards.
- Own the strategic direction of publication planning and medical education programming.
- Oversee scientific content development for consistency and compliance.
- Manage the scientific communications budget and external agency partners.
- Lead cross-functional alignment with R&D, Regulatory, Biometrics, and Commercial teams.
- Drive innovation in digital dissemination and AI-enabled content workflows.
- Engage external scientific stakeholders and key opinion leaders.
- Mentor and develop the Scientific Communications team.
