Requirements
- Active U.S. CPA license.
- Big 4 or national firm audit foundation.
- Industry controllership experience in complex, multi-entity structures.
- U.S. GAAP technical depth including equity, stock-compensation (ASC 718), consolidations, and revenue recognition.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite configuration and automation.
- Proven track record of managing external auditors to firm deadlines.
- Experience using AI tools (Claude, Cursor) for technical accounting and workflow automation.
- Strong leadership experience managing senior accounting teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the first-year GAAS audit end to end including historical remediation.
- Own the monthly and quarterly close calendar for a multi-entity structure.
- Draft and own technical accounting memos referencing applicable U.S. GAAP/ASC guidance.
- Manage equity and stock-compensation accounting (ASC 718) and related disclosures.
- Build and maintain NetSuite workflows and automation for month-end close.
- Manage relationships with external auditors (Big 4 or national firm).
- Build and deliver board reporting packages.
- Lead and develop the accounting team, setting technical and operational standards.
