Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, Forest Products, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
- Eight or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong understanding of forestry, forest products, or natural resource management.
- Business development, market development, or client relationship management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Identify, cultivate, and recruit prospective Forest Management certificate holders.
- Maintain relationships with existing Forest Management certificate holders to identify and address barriers to certification.
- Drive growth in primary processor certification through strategic outreach.
- Facilitate connections between certified forests and primary processors.
- Represent FSC US at industry meetings, conferences, and stakeholder events.
- Develop and manage a regional certification pipeline.
- Support the implementation of grant-funded projects and development of work plans.
