Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in a bankruptcy role in banking, finance, or mortgage industry.
- 1+ year in a senior or lead bankruptcy role or project management.
- Intermediate math skills for calculating figures in Motions for Relief and Proofs of Claim.
- Knowledge of bankruptcy processes, investor timelines, and relevant laws.
Responsibilities
- Provide training, create and update Policy & Procedures, and review control reports.
- Handle escalated calls from borrowers and attorneys.
- Work with management on projects and coordinate with IT related to bankruptcy processes.
- Manage litigated and escalated files and provide recommendations.
- Conduct formal and informal training sessions.
- Identify process gaps and implement approved solutions.
- Perform documentation analysis and preparation for various bankruptcy filings.
- Audit and review filings such as Proofs of Claim and Motions for Relief.
- Verify borrower payment histories and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to internal and external bankruptcy-related inquiries.
