Requirements
- 12+ years of industry experience in applied ML/AI
- MS or PhD in a relevant field
- Strong programming skills (Scala, Python, Java, C++ or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of ML/AI best practices (A/B testing, feature engineering, model selection)
- Knowledge of algorithms (neural networks/deep learning, optimization)
- Expertise in domains (NLP, personalization, search and recommendation, marketplace optimization)
- Experience with Tensorflow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, Airflow, and Kafka
- Expertise in architectural patterns for large-scale software applications
- Experience with agentic AI technologies and automation (preferred)
- Experience with full AI product development lifecycle (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Develop AI-powered solutions for the Airbnb agentic growth platform.
- Drive architecture, design, and development of AI products from inception to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify business opportunities.
- Develop, productionize, and operate ML/AI models and pipelines at scale.
- Leverage third-party and in-house ML tools to enable fast development.
- Collaborate with engineers to validate ideas and guide outcomes.
- Mentor and develop initiatives for non-ML/AI engineers.
