Requirements
- CPA designation required
- 3–5+ years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or corporate accounting
- Experience in public accounting or Big Four environments considered a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of ASPE accounting standards and operational finance principles
- Experience in SaaS or technology environments is highly valued
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with exposure to ERP and FP&A systems preferred
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and sound judgment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Demonstrated curiosity for innovation, including familiarity with AI tools and willingness to explore new technologies
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with ASPE accounting standards while maintaining strong General Ledger integrity
- Oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, SaaS revenue recognition, and support audit, tax, and external reporting requirements
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring financial accuracy and risk mitigation across accounting processes
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards, financial models, and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with department leaders and ensure alignment with company objectives
- Perform variance analysis and identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities to support business performance
- Drive process optimization, automation, and system improvements across accounting and FP&A functions, including AI-enabled tools
