Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of project management experience, preferably in environmental consulting or infrastructure project delivery.
- Proven experience managing complex engineering projects, including water treatment systems design and construction.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and performance tracking.
- Experience working in remote, northern, or mining environments is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with experience guiding technical teams.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Professional Engineer designation is an asset.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of mine water management and water treatment projects, ensuring control of scope, schedule, cost, and technical performance.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, including critical path analysis and coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Oversee conceptual and detailed design phases of water treatment systems, including vendor packages and balance-of-plant components.
- Coordinate with clients, engineering teams, and resource managers to ensure appropriate staffing, dependencies, and execution plans are in place.
- Monitor project financial performance, manage budgets, and implement corrective or recovery actions when required.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage technical, operational, and delivery risks across complex environmental projects.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior and intermediate project team members while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
