Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading Backbase digital banking platform implementations
  • Strong background in credit unions or community banking environments (mandatory)
  • 10+ years of experience in IT, digital transformation, or program/project management roles
  • Hybrid capability in business analysis and program management (user stories, functional specs, governance)
  • Deep understanding of digital banking ecosystems, including core banking integration and middleware layers
  • Strong expertise in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and hybrid delivery models
  • Proven ability to manage executive stakeholders (CIOs, COOs, CEOs) and facilitate strategic discussions
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and vendor management skills in complex environments
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to enhance delivery efficiency
  • University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical complexity into business value

Responsibilities

  • Lead and govern large-scale digital banking transformation programs with a focus on Backbase implementations for credit unions.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of Backbase-based digital banking initiatives, from discovery through execution and rollout
  • Define product vision, business requirements, and functional specifications in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Oversee program governance, ensuring scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies are effectively managed
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment
  • Manage complex integration environments involving core banking systems, APIs, and middleware platforms
  • Facilitate Agile delivery using Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid methodologies
  • Lead executive-level communications, reporting, and stakeholder engagement with CU leadership teams
  • Identify and resolve high-stakes delivery challenges across cross-functional and multi-vendor environments
  • Ensure delivery quality while balancing strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and platform constraints
