Requirements
- At least five years of experience in education policy, advocacy, or a related field
- Experience leading a cohort-based program or other diverse group of stakeholders
- Exceptional research and writing skills
- Deep knowledge of K-12 education policy and the national landscape
- Experience analyzing policy including contracts, legislation, and regulations
- Deep knowledge of and experience implementing adult learning principles
- Experience leading complex projects across teams and functions
- Master’s degree in education policy or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Serve as an internal policy expert and key advisor
- Drive the policy learning of staff
- Lead the National Teacher Leader Council (NTLC)
- Conduct local landscape scans to identify opportunities for policy change
- Advise local campaign teams on policy strategy
- Produce policy reports, briefs, memos, and slide decks
