Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
- Mastery of solid coding principles, domain-driven design, and performant code/queries
- Experience in unit and integration testing
- Experience leading projects involving scale, concurrency, queuing, and background processing
- Experience with efficient ingestion of third-party data
- Security mindset including OWASP and SOC-2 processes
- Experience deploying resources in AWS, RDS, queues, and serverless environments
- Track record of using AI to simplify workflows and eliminate bottlenecks
- Strong data engineering skills including complex SQL, optimization, and ETL
- Experience with data warehouse and analytics tooling
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable, secure software architectures aligned with business goals
- Introduce and implement best practices around OO, DDD, and microservices
- Use AI to streamline processes and reduce developer friction
- Implement and enforce coding standards to drive code quality and maintainability
- Conduct regular code reviews to reduce bug counts and improve software performance
- Facilitate communication between development, product, and stakeholders
- Leverage data analytics to solve problems regarding product impact and performance
- Participate in agile processes including sprint planning and standups
- Champion SDLC and secure coding practices
