- Strong technical leadership skills with a track record of setting standards for maintainability and velocity.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure and operational tools (e.g., AWS, Kafka, Datadog).
- Adaptability to dive into complex and unfamiliar domains quickly.
- Practical experience or strong interest in leveraging AI tools for engineering productivity.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering leadership to set technical direction for the Payment Platform and Clearinghouse Platform teams.
- Design fault-tolerant, observable, and deeply reconciled integrations with third-party services.
- Build abstractions and standards for internal teams like Billing Infrastructure and Provider Payouts.
- Act as a hands-on technical leader by writing code, mentoring senior engineers, and shaping operational excellence.
- Solve distributed systems challenges including concurrency, idempotency, and partial failure handling.
- Drive technical decisions that optimize for long-term maintainability and scale.
- Collaborate across teams to translate ambiguous problems into shipped software solutions.
