Requirements
- 3+ years of claims experience, preferably in personal lines or private client insurance
- Strong knowledge of high-value homeowners, auto, watercraft, collectibles, and umbrella liability claims
- Experience working with premier carriers such as Chubb, PURE, AIG Private Client, or similar is highly desirable
- Ability to manage and analyze claims portfolios and identify trends or risk exposures
- Strong negotiation, advocacy, and influencing skills with carriers and adjusters
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex claims situations clearly and empathetically
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent claims in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and claims or agency management systems
- Professional designations such as AIC, SCLA, CPCU, or ARM are a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or claims site visits
Responsibilities
- Serve as a dedicated claims advocate for high-net-worth clients, managing complex personal lines claims across property, auto, watercraft, collections, and excess liability exposures.
- Coordinate and monitor claims activity across client portfolios, ensuring accuracy of reserves, timely reporting, and adherence to best practices and carrier standards.
- Act as a liaison between clients, insurance carriers, adjusters, and vendors to facilitate efficient and favorable claim resolution.
- Conduct proactive claims reviews and provide ongoing status updates, summaries, and insights to internal advisors and stakeholders.
- Support client retention and business development by participating in client meetings and clearly articulating claims advocacy value.
- Identify claims trends and risk exposures across client portfolios and recommend mitigation strategies where appropriate.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to strengthening claims expertise within the Private Risk Management function.
