Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud networking, or distributed systems at scale
  • Deep expertise in internet and web infrastructure (DNS, CDN, WAF, load balancing, ingress, service mesh)
  • Strong programming experience in Go or similar languages
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
  • Experience designing and operating highly available, observable systems with defined SLIs/SLOs
  • Strong background in incident response, on-call operations, and postmortem-driven improvement
  • Experience building secure infrastructure using least-privilege, encryption, and security-first design principles
  • Experience building self-service platform abstractions for internal engineering teams

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate core network infrastructure across DNS, CDN, ingress/egress, load balancing, and service mesh layers
  • Build self-service networking platforms and tooling that enable internal teams to provision and manage network resources independently
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions (e.g., Terraform) to automate provisioning and configuration
  • Define and implement observability standards, including SLIs/SLOs, monitoring, and alerting for network systems
  • Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response, and drive postmortems and reliability improvements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with security, product, and platform teams
  • Ensure security-by-design principles including least privilege access, encryption in transit, and attack surface reduction
  • Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
