Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical support, DBA, SRE, or database engineering role.
  • Experience serving enterprise customers, ideally in on-call and SLA-driven environments.
  • Experience working with Alibaba Cloud.
  • Technical depth in ClickHouse, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, or distributed systems.
  • Solid Linux fundamentals and comfort debugging production systems.
  • Working knowledge of distributed database internals.
  • Ability to write and optimize complex SQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
  • Teamwork mindset, customer empathy, and sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of customer issues for ClickHouse strategic accounts on Alibaba Cloud in the China region.
  • Triage, classify, and track incoming cases.
  • Identify recurring patterns across customers and feed them back into knowledge base articles and product feedback.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues spanning SQL and query performance, schema design, replication, sharding, and cluster operations.
  • Advise customers on ClickHouse best practices, capacity planning, and configuration tuning.
  • Escalate complex product-level issues to global teams while acting as the single point of contact.
  • Partner with China Engineering Manager to define SLAs, on-call rotations, and escalation paths.
  • Contribute to internal tooling, documentation, and the broader community.
