Requirements
- Experience supporting production databases and applications, preferably at scale.
- Experience with database internals and performance tuning (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Strong ability to communicate and deal directly with customers via email, Slack, video, or in person.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
- Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and debugging tools.
- Comfortable reading and debugging unfamiliar code in Vitess or MySQL connectors.
Responsibilities
- Advise and handle support requests from enterprise customers.
- Serve as a customer-facing subject-matter expert.
- Identify product gaps in a customer-specific context.
- Collaborate with Technical Account Management, Engineering, and Sales Engineering teams to prioritize and escalate issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for high-priority incidents.
