Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in operations and organizational leadership.
- Proven ability to own complex projects end-to-end.
- Experience building operational infrastructure from scratch.
- Proficiency with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of nonprofit compliance and governance, preferably US 501(c)(3).
- Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and manage outstanding teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions in high-stakes environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute organizational strategy across finance, HR, compliance, and program operations.
- Build and scale internal architecture for growth.
- Lead recruitment and talent management to attract high-caliber staff.
- Manage the operations function and direct reports.
- Own financial health including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure nonprofit regulatory compliance, filings, and governance.
- Independently represent the organization externally with stakeholders and legal counsel.
- Support the setup of new biosecurity organizations.
