Requirements
- MD or DO degree required.
- Completion of an accredited residency program strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
- Experience with SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD-10-CM, CPT, or HCPCS.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation practices.
- Understanding of structured EHR, unstructured EHR/notes, and claims datasets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced training or certification in clinical informatics preferred.
- Experience with OMOP Common Data Model preferred.
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, or R preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain concept groups.
- Review customer code lists and recommend updates.
- Define critical variables for pragmatic registries.
- Map claims and health system data to OMOP CDM.
- Semantically normalize data and map high-priority unmapped concepts.
- Create documentation on data usability.
- Collaborate with customers on research insights.
- Define disease-area specific data quality testing processes.
- Determine strategies for concept capture and feasibility assessments.
- Specify annotation projects for complex clinical ideas.
