Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a federal government contracting environment.
- Experience managing DCAA audits and preparing Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS).
- Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and CAS.
- Understanding of government contractor payroll and labor distribution.
- Familiarity with SCA and Davis-Bacon wage determinations.
- Practical experience with NetSuite or GovCon-compatible ERP platforms.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (financial modeling, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with project managers and auditors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and enforce accounting policies compliant with DCAA, FAR, CAS, and GAAP.
- Lead DCAA audit efforts including ICS, forward pricing proposals, and disclosure statements.
- Manage allocation of indirect cost pools including Fringe, Overhead, and G&A.
- Oversee multi-state payroll ensuring compliance with SCA and Davis-Bacon Act.
- Audit labor floor check procedures and timekeeping policies.
- Oversee project-level accounting for Cost-Plus and Firm-Fixed-Price contracts.
- Manage government contract billing via WAWF/PIEE portals.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial dashboards, profitability reports, and cash flow forecasts.
- Analyze KPIs such as EAC and funding vs. spend burn rates.
