Requirements
- RN License (US certified)
- 2-3 years experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant
- Experience in patient care, family medicine, acute care, or clinical settings
- English communication skills (C1 level)
- Knowledge of medical terminologies and practices
- Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems
- Knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations
- Familiarity with VoIP, cloud services, and desktop sharing
Responsibilities
- Call patients to relay test results in a timely and professional manner.
- Create and process referrals for specialised healthcare providers.
- Order labs and imaging while coordinating and scheduling appointments for patients.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Use communication tools like Avaya soft phone to interact with patients and healthcare providers.
- Ad hoc tasks as needed to support the healthcare team.
