Requirements
- Proven delivery of large distributed systems.
- Extensive experience shipping and operating complex systems.
- Deep understanding of system design tradeoffs: latency, consistency, availability, scaling, and cost.
- Hands-on cloud and platform experience with microservices, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Expertise in reliability engineering, including SLO/SLI definition and capacity planning.
- Strong coding skills in Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with AI-powered developer tools and team workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
Responsibilities
- Lead platform maturity and scalability initiatives within the SysEng squad.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure production system health.
- Own the full development lifecycle from design docs to production.
- Improve regional build timelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align stakeholders and set priorities.
- Apply AI-assisted development practices for prototyping and refactoring.
