Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in healthcare operations, insurance verification, patient registration, or benefits administration.
- Proven experience verifying insurance coverage, benefits, eligibility, and authorization requirements.
- Strong customer service and member-facing communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-through skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and ad hoc insurance verification across commercial and employer-sponsored plans.
- Verify member eligibility, benefits, and coordination of benefits information.
- Ensure authorizations are obtained prior to member participation.
- Investigate and resolve eligibility discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of verification activities and member communications.
- Conduct outbound and inbound outreach regarding eligibility and enrollment.
- Address member concerns and escalate complex issues.
- Support member conversion initiatives by resolving enrollment barriers.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with Member Experience, Enrollment, Product, and Engineering teams.
