Requirements
- Strong frontend foundations in React, TypeScript, and modern web development.
- Comfortable with backend logic, building API routes, and connecting third-party integrations.
- Experience in growth engineering, marketing teams, or growing own products/startups.
- Hands-on experience with SEO, analytics, A/B testing, and conversion optimization.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in remote, async environments.
- Experience with AI tools and building AI into user-facing marketing features.
- Personal interest or experience in the content creation world.
Responsibilities
- Own growth engineering projects end-to-end, from implementing a localization framework for international audiences to building referral program logic, attribution systems, and rebuilding tracking infrastructure.
- Build features on Buffer's marketing site that help people discover and try Buffer, shipping landing pages, interactive tools, and conversion flows.
- Shape our marketing platform capabilities by building systems and frameworks like A/B testing infrastructure and programmatic page generation for SEO.
- Drive experimentation and optimization by setting up experiments, validating results, and iterating based on data.
- Strengthen foundations by maintaining integrations with marketing technology stack (Segment, GTM, Mixpanel, BigQuery), upgrading dependencies, and ensuring accessibility.
- Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to ongoing system health.
- Pair with other engineers, review code, and share knowledge about growth systems.
