Requirements
- 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or technical analytics roles.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Hands-on leadership experience in strategy and execution.
- Deep proficiency in dbt.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred).
- Experience implementing or using a semantic/metrics layer (e.g., Lightdash, Looker, MetricFlow).
- Track record of driving self-service analytics adoption and stakeholder enablement.
- Familiarity with dimensional modeling and data warehouse design patterns.
- Strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of analytics engineers, building a culture of craft and documentation.
- Drive the rollout and adoption of Lightdash as the single source of truth for business reporting.
- Own all dashboard development and build processes to transition ownership to analysts.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting needs into maintainable data products.
- Design and deliver training and enablement programs for business users.
- Evolve core dbt models and semantic layer for key use cases like LTV, retention, and financial reporting.
- Establish governance, metric definitions, modeling practices, and testing frameworks.
- Partner with Data Engineering on pipeline reliability and data quality.
