Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Corporate Development
- Prior experience with software M&A transactions
- Strong academic performance from a top-tier institution
- Undergraduate degree in business or a related field (preferred)
- Professional maturity and confidence in interacting with C-level executives
- Strong sales and communication skills
- Solid foundation in accounting principles and financial modeling
- Understanding of software business models and the M&A transaction lifecycle
- Strong analytical ability and pattern recognition skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
Responsibilities
- Identify and source software businesses that meet our acquisition criteria
- Develop and execute targeted prospecting campaigns via email and outbound calls
- Build and nurture relationships with prospective acquisition targets and sell-side M&A investment banking firms
- Lead preliminary evaluations of potential acquisitions, including initial business and financial due diligence
- Own and manage a robust deal pipeline
- Conduct industry and market research to identify trends
- Review and analyze investment materials, synthesizing data into insights
- Independently drive acquisition opportunities forward
- Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively based on deal timelines
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support deal execution
