Requirements
- Track record of owning a product sub-area or significant feature set end to end.
- Ability to define problems independently from messy inputs.
- Experience making sound, autonomous trade-offs on scope, quality, and technical debt.
- Technical fluency to partner with engineers on feasibility and integration.
- Clear, structured communication skills.
- Experience in payments, fintech, or back-office product (nice-to-have).
- Comfort with data analysis to define and track metrics (nice-to-have).
Responsibilities
- Own the outcomes for your sub-area of Financial Operations over multiple quarters.
- Define problems worth solving by synthesizing merchant feedback, support and dispute data, and competitive moves.
- Plan and deliver initiatives independently, making trade-offs on scope, sequencing, and quality.
- Write specs that anticipate edge cases in payments operations (e.g., reconciliation, disputes).
- Partner with engineering on feasibility and technical trade-offs.
- Define leading and lagging metrics to track product performance.
- Drive launch readiness and rapid post-launch iteration.
- Represent sub-area to merchants and internal stakeholders.
