Requirements
- Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people.
- Extensive experience with Backend (Elixir/Phoenix or Ruby or functional programming).
- Track record of shipping production systems that are secure, reliable, and scalable.
- Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows.
- Ability to think in systems: define specs, break down plans, instrument verification.
- Solid communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of engineering and development principles.
- Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
Responsibilities
- Managing a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend).
- Participate in product development (70% of time).
- Involved in hiring processes and onboarding new engineers.
- Manage team dynamics and provide continuous, constructive feedback.
- Responsible for each direct report's career growth and coaching.
- Redesign how engineering work ships with autonomous agents.
- Propose and operationalize end-to-end agentic workflows.
- Build reusable agentic workflows and primitives.
- Implement verification loops (tests, checks, evals) to ensure security and quality.
