Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform roles.
- At least 5 years in people management, including 3+ years managing managers.
- Strong experience with dbt project structure, testing, and CI/CD.
- Production experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery at consumer scale.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple teams or workstreams (15+ people).
- Strong track record of stakeholder management at the director/VP level.
- Proven ability to prioritize across competing demands in fast-paced environments.
- Strong business acumen regarding product metrics, growth loops, and monetization.
- AI native mindset with active use of AI tools in work.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical roadmap across data platform, analytics engineering, and ads data infrastructure.
- Own the analytics engineering strategy end-to-end including dbt standards and semantic layer strategy.
- Oversee Databricks infrastructure, compute optimization, and pipeline orchestration.
- Drive toward a self-serve data experience for analysts and data scientists.
- Lead and develop three engineering managers and their teams.
- Own workforce planning, headcount allocation, and hiring strategy.
- Represent data engineering in company-level planning and leadership forums.
- Manage budget and cost control for data engineering infrastructure.
