Requirements
- Strong portfolio in complex, systems-heavy product design (SaaS, fintech, infrastructure, or developer-facing).
- Experience leading designers, formally or as a senior mentor.
- Real craft depth across interaction, visual, and information architecture.
- History of owning a domain end-to-end from ambiguity to delivery.
- Strong judgment on design trade-offs and autonomy.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the experience strategy and quality bar for your domain.
- Lead and develop a growing team of designers through critique and coaching.
- Perform hands-on design work on complex problems for roughly half your time.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leads on strategy.
- Extend the design system with new patterns and components.
- Lead research to uncover product problems and translate them into direction.
- Collaborate with engineering to find solutions within technical constraints.
- Establish team practices, file standards, and handoff processes.
