Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant legal experience.
- At least 3 years as in-house counsel at an operating company.
- Experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
- J.D. from a top-tier accredited U.S. law school.
- Active bar membership in a U.S. state.
- Expertise in commercial contract negotiation and risk allocation.
- Knowledge of employment law across multiple U.S. states.
- Experience managing litigation and outside counsel.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and Ironclad or similar contract management software.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate broad commercial agreements including software, hardware, and vendor contracts.
- Manage litigation and pre-litigation disputes, including strategy and oversight of outside counsel.
- Oversee company insurance portfolio, risk transfer strategy, and claims management.
- Advise on workforce risk and employment law across 25+ states.
- Lead corporate governance, entity compliance, and legal workstreams for financing and strategic deals.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws, including international requirements.
- Manage the regulatory team and procurement of operational licenses.
