Requirements
- 10–15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience in banking or financial services.
- Minimum 5+ years in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, Controller, Treasury) at a regulated financial institution.
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP financial reporting.
- Experience with Call Report preparation.
- Expertise in ALM, liquidity management, and capital planning.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulatory requirements.
- Experience with internal controls and accounting for financial instruments.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Experience with CECL implementation, investment portfolio management, and FHLB relationships preferred.
- Familiarity with fintech-affiliated banking models preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a sound and well-documented internal control environment.
- Develop systems and controls meeting audit standards.
- Maintain records and policies in compliance with regulatory law and guidance.
- Manage communication with regulators and address inquiries.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable, and Bank payments.
- Prepare and review regulatory financial reports including quarterly FDIC Call Reports.
- Serve as the Investment Officer and develop investment policy.
- Oversee asset-liability management (ALM) functions, including interest rate, liquidity, and capital risk.
- Present financial results, forecasts, and analysis to management and the Board.
