Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (Master's = 2 years, PhD = 4 years).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Expertise in advanced statistical analysis and machine learning.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Familiarity with clinical datasets (Epic Clarity, Caboodle, claims data).
  • Knowledge of population health, CMS/Medicare, or payer-provider analytics.
  • Experience with emerging AI (LLMs, RAG, GenAI).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from conceptualization to deployment.
  • Builds advanced analytics to predict acute utilization and measure population health outcomes.
  • Translates longitudinal patient care data into actionable intervention points.
  • Partners with clinical leaders to convert findings into operational triggers and care protocols.
  • Utilizes machine learning for risk stratification, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Oversees production deployment and integration with existing systems.
  • Extracts insights from clinical data sources like Epic Clarity and HL7.
  • Mentors and develops junior data scientists.
  • Develops best practices and standards for data science within the organization.
