Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (Master's = 2 years, PhD = 4 years).
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Expertise in advanced statistical analysis and machine learning.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Familiarity with clinical datasets (Epic Clarity, Caboodle, claims data).
- Knowledge of population health, CMS/Medicare, or payer-provider analytics.
- Experience with emerging AI (LLMs, RAG, GenAI).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Leads and manages the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from conceptualization to deployment.
- Builds advanced analytics to predict acute utilization and measure population health outcomes.
- Translates longitudinal patient care data into actionable intervention points.
- Partners with clinical leaders to convert findings into operational triggers and care protocols.
- Utilizes machine learning for risk stratification, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Oversees production deployment and integration with existing systems.
- Extracts insights from clinical data sources like Epic Clarity and HL7.
- Mentors and develops junior data scientists.
- Develops best practices and standards for data science within the organization.
