Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a complex financial capacity.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel.
- Strong grasp of financial accounting principles (P&L, reconciliations, fiscal close).
- Experience with complex financial calculations and large data sets.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in Music, Media, or Entertainment preferred (Participations, Royalties, or Audit).
- Proficiency with SAP S4 Hana, SAP Analysis for Office, BI, and SharePoint preferred.
- Experience with Generative AI tools for automation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze participation profit-share and distribution financial statements.
- Lead fiscal month-end close tasks, including true-ups, reconciliations, and expense accruals.
- Act as primary 'Variance Detective' and quality gatekeeper for financial data.
- Translate complex artist and label legal agreements into financial models.
- Support budgets, cash forecasts, and audit responses with transactional data analysis.
- Investigate artist inquiries, data issues, or audit claims to mitigate risk.
- Mentor and guide analysts, facilitating training on best practices.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across finance, legal, and executive teams.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement technology-driven solutions.
