Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including at least 5 years leading and developing product teams in a senior or director-level capacity.
  • Direct experience in underwriting, insurance, or related domains such as carrier, reinsurer, or insurtech environments.
  • Proven track record of owning and scaling complex product areas from strategy through execution in regulated or enterprise settings.
  • Strong expertise in product discovery, customer research, and translating insights into clear product direction and execution plans.
  • Deep analytical skills with experience defining key metrics, driving experimentation, and making data-informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior stakeholders, including executives and enterprise customers.
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries such as insurance or financial services is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a strong interest in shaping AI-native product management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product managers, setting clear priorities and ensuring strong execution across the underwriting product domain.
  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for underwriting, aligning business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities.
  • Drive end-to-end product discovery, including customer research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify high-impact opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a rigorous, well-groomed backlog while ensuring engineering readiness and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Define and track key success metrics, building data-driven feedback loops to evaluate product performance and inform iteration.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, and cross-functional leaders to deliver scalable, AI-enabled underwriting solutions.
  • Develop compelling business cases and influence senior stakeholders, including executive leadership and external carrier partners.
  • Establish product management best practices, frameworks, and operating models that elevate team performance and consistency.
  • Champion the adoption of AI-native workflows across the product organization, embedding modern tools into discovery, synthesis, and delivery processes.
