Experience: 5+ years

Requirements

5+ years of experience in mortgage compliance
Deep and practical knowledge of mortgage origination regulation and loan lifecycle
Experience in a regulatory or supervisory role is a plus
Proven experience owning or leading compliance at a mortgage lender
Strong ability to form and defend a clear point of view internally and to customers
Self-starter, team player, and comfort operating in an early-stage, fast-paced environment
Comfortable applying regulatory standards to software product development
Interest in responsibly building and deploying AI in a regulated industry

Responsibilities

Own Vesta's internal interpretation of mortgage origination regulations
Partner with the product team to advise on compliant product architecture
Ensure AI products meet evolving regulatory and investor requirements
Support customer-facing teams with regulatory point of view and product functionality
Monitor and translate changes in the regulatory landscape (GSE, TRID, ECOA, RESPA, GLBA) into product requirements
