Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or legislative advocacy, preferably within the technology or deep-tech sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field (advanced degree such as JD or MPP preferred).
- Proven experience working with government agencies and navigating public sector procurement or regulatory environments.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical and policy concepts to diverse stakeholders, including executives and government officials.
- Demonstrated success in shaping policy strategy and influencing legislative or regulatory outcomes.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to balance policy risks and business opportunities.
- Experience working across international markets or scaling government affairs programs globally is highly desirable.
- Technical familiarity with advanced technologies such as AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, or other emerging tech fields is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global government affairs and public policy strategies aligned with organizational priorities in emerging technology markets.
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret legislative and regulatory developments, assessing potential risks and opportunities for the business.
- Engage with government agencies, policymakers, and industry coalitions to advocate for favorable policy outcomes and strengthen institutional relationships.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive policy positions and strategic messaging for public sector stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales and commercial teams to identify public sector opportunities and support government procurement engagement strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional public sector initiatives to ensure alignment between policy, business development, and corporate strategy.
- Build and manage external partnerships, including consultants, advisors, and advocacy groups, to expand global government affairs reach.
- Advise executive leadership on regulatory risks, strategic positioning, and long-term policy implications.
