Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- At least 8 years of experience in accounting
- Prior experience reviewing the work of and/or managing other accounting staff
- Experience working with international operations and multi-entity, multi-currency accounting
- Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive communication style
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and technology
- High degree of independence and ability to work with limited supervision
- Flexibility to accommodate meetings with staff/vendors overseas
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting staff responsible for KoBold's international entities, including their day-to-day work, priorities, and professional development
- Review full-cycle accounting for multiple foreign subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions
- Help establish and maintain accounting infrastructure for new jurisdictions
- Review statutory reporting and ensure compliance with local accounting rules
- Prepare quarterly consolidated variance analysis
- Review reporting to joint venture partners
- Oversee support to field exploration teams, including project and budget reports
- Oversee the accounts payable workflow and vendor compliance
- Support transfer pricing and tax compliance
- Identify and implement accounting and operational process automations
