Requirements
- Extensive experience in Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c) across heterogeneous environments.
- High proficiency in PostgreSQL database administration, including hands-on experience migrating enterprise-scale workloads from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
- Proven track record of managing databases in multi-cloud environments (AWS and GCP).
- General understanding of Oracle License Management Services (LMS) and compliance strategies.
- Experience with enterprise automated job scheduling and database performance monitoring platforms.
- Deep knowledge of database design, logical data models, and data normalization.
Responsibilities
- Architect, plan, and execute the complex migration of legacy Oracle workloads to PostgreSQL.
- Serve as the in-house Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PostgreSQL design, implementation, and administration.
- Lead the strategy and execution of migrating and managing database workloads in managed cloud services across our multi-cloud environment.
- Analyze complex queries, optimize database server settings, and leverage performance monitoring tools.
- Ensure databases comply with strict SOX guidelines and maintain Oracle licensing compliance.
- Determine and implement robust backup and recovery strategies (RTO/RPO) and automate backup tasks.
- Provide expert, Level III escalation support for critical production incidents, including on-call rotations.
