Requirements
- 3+ years of combined experience in maintenance, design, and deployment of critical environment controls systems.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, OPC).
- Understanding of PLC programming language, architecture, and configuration.
- Experience developing and interpreting sequence of operations (SOO).
- Experience with building management systems (BMS) software and programming.
- Experience with electrical power monitoring systems (Schneider, Eaton preferred).
- Knowledge of Data Center Facilities Infrastructure (PDU, UPS, Generators).
- Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- Knowledge of industry, environmental, and building codes (IBC).
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and delivery of standards and specifications such as basis of design, OPRs, SOOs, point-and-alert lists, graphics, dashboards, and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Design/Construction, Quality, Safety, Operations, vendors) to deliver data center capacity safely and on time.
- Support site operations to troubleshoot operational issues, perform maintenance, and execute RCAs and retrofits.
- Design and maintain PLC systems ensuring proper installation, configuration, and monitoring.
- Act as the bridge between design consultants, BMS vendors, and IT departments for BMS implementation.
- Propose strategies to optimize the interplay of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Manage and administer project/program level contracts, review change cost proposals, and value engineering.
- Collaborate with the Commissioning Team on systems integration, issue resolution, and script review.
