Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale cloud or application environments.
- 1+ year hands-on experience with an industry-recognized database (ideally PostgreSQL).
- 1+ year experience building cloud-based control-plane software.
- Strong architecture and design skills for back-end Web technologies.
- Experience working with large codebases on cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to mentor and scale through junior engineers.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
- Experience with Go, Python, or Rust.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/RDS, GCP) and observability tools (Datadog, Snowflake).
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and own the process from problem understanding to shipping.
- Ship high quality, scalable and robust storage solutions.
- Innovate automated monitoring and control-plane systems.
- Manage and maintain petabytes of data across hundreds of clusters.
- Work on distributed database systems, AI Agent-based monitoring, and tiered storage.
- Scale through mentorship, code reviews, and establishing best practices.
