Requirements
- 5+ years in backend or infrastructure engineering roles
- 2+ years managing or mentoring engineers
- Strong project management skills—able to drive initiatives from planning to delivery
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools (nice to have)
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) (nice to have)
- Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Spinnaker) (nice to have)
- Background in Python, Go, or Java for automation and tooling (nice to have)
- Knowledge of security best practices, networking fundamentals, and incident management (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure engineers
- Provide clear direction, feedback, and support to create a productive team environment
- Anticipate, plan, and execute infrastructure projects aligned with company and customer needs
- Participate in hiring as the team grows, including defining hiring strategy and conducting technical interviews
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and security teams
- Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
- Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automation
- Evaluate and implement emerging infrastructure tools and practices
- Support company initiatives around cost optimization, security, disaster recovery, and compliance
- Respond to and manage critical incidents effectively
