Requirements
- 7+ years of backend software development experience delivering scalable production systems.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Ruby, Python, or Go.
- Experience building and operating large-scale distributed backend services with defined SLOs.
- Strong background in on-call ownership, observability, and incident response.
- Track record leading complex, cross-functional projects with high ambiguity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience authoring technical artifacts like ERDs and design docs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive complex platform workstreams end-to-end from design to launch and support.
- Design, build, and operate high-quality, high-throughput distributed backend services with clear SLOs and observability.
- Analyze and refine service and data architectures to improve reliability and scalability.
- Establish and champion engineering standards through design reviews and production readiness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams like Legal and Finance to deliver compliance-ready solutions.
- Drive the adoption of modern technologies and AI toolsets to increase delivery velocity.
- Mentor peers and influence platform roadmaps.
- Contribute to fulfillment domains including earnings, pricing, routing, batching, and dispatch.
