Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade systems.
- Strong fundamentals in programming, data structures, and system design.
- Experience designing and scaling distributed systems and high-throughput backend services.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage technical discussions and trade-offs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to estimate, plan, and deliver complex engineering projects effectively.
- Experience or strong interest in routing, dispatch, logistics, or navigation systems is highly desirable.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for shipping impactful features and iterating based on feedback.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that support real-time route tracking, dispatch, and execution across large fleets.
- Develop and enhance distributed systems powering dispatch state machines and geospatial data processing at scale.
- Build and improve web interfaces that enable dispatchers and fleet operators to manage routes and logistics from a unified platform.
- Design and implement APIs and integrations with external systems such as TMS and ERP platforms handling millions of events daily.
- Contribute to real-time navigation and routing features incorporating dynamic data sources such as traffic, weather, and operational constraints.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and mobile teams to deliver reliable, high-performance user-facing features.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through strong engineering practices and architectural decisions.
