Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- 8+ years of directly related legal experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience at an AM Law 100 firm.
- 4+ years of experience as an in-house counsel.
- Extensive experience reviewing and drafting CDA, MSA, and SOW agreements.
- Must be admitted to practice or have Bar membership in the state of residence.
- Strong understanding of pharma and biotech industries.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound legal and business judgment.
Responsibilities
- Independently draft, review, negotiate, and manage domestic and international contracts.
- Draft entire contracts and language de novo to mitigate business and legal risk.
- Identify and communicate legal issues and business risks to internal decision-makers.
- Serve as legal representative for International, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, IT, HR, and Finance teams.
- Provide practical, solution-oriented contractual and business advice.
- Train and guide business teams on contract templates and good contracting practices.
- Develop and implement new Legal Department contracting policies and templates.
- Manage and enhance the company contract management system.
- Identify methods to improve department efficiency and productivity.
- Provide legal due diligence and complete special projects.
