Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of credit products (e.g., credit cards, PLOC, PLP).
- Ability to interpret credit bureau reports and FICO scores.
- Strong interpersonal, discovery, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle objections and adapt beyond call scripts.
- Knowledge of federal and provincial laws pertaining to consumer collections.
- In-depth verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English).
- Attention to detail for regulatory documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex conversations with customers regarding financial situations.
- Deploy tailored debt repayment offers.
- Make sound credit decisions and select appropriate treatment plans.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally.
- Educate customers on financial health and debt management.
- Execute loss mitigation processes and procedures.
- Analyze credit data to determine collection probability.
- Escalate complex customer situations to management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and process transactions.
