Requirements

  • 5+ years of software sales experience in the SLED space selling into the Northeast territory.
  • Capabilities in managing major accounts.
  • Previous experience working within State and Local Departments or Agencies and Academic Institutions.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent selling skills and the ability to close business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business and operations acumen especially within the Government sector.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Functional and organizational knowledge of State & Local Government.
  • Experience utilizing AI for account planning, meeting preparation, and finding target accounts (e.g., Gong, Co-Pilot).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (desired).
  • Experience in data management, data quality, and location intelligence (desired).

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand Precisely products and services, and the Precisely approved sales methodology.
  • Develop an understanding of key industry trends, market opportunities, and common pain points in your territory.
  • Develop and execute business plans to generate pipeline and revenue within assigned territory.
  • Build strong client relationships and leverage that network to expand into new accounts or buying centers.
  • Collaborate with Precisely’s Marketing, Sales Engineering, Services teams and more to generate customer demand.
  • Leverage internal resources and the broader Precisely ecosystem to extend reach and impact.
  • Prioritize customer value and experience throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Document sales steps and manage your territory forecast utilizing Precisely’s Salesforce CRM.
  • Support the VP of Sales in accordance with the region’s strategy and plans.
