Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 strongly preferred).
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition for SaaS/consumption models.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Practical experience with SQL.
- Experience with ERP, billing, and revenue operations platforms (Netsuite, Salesforce, SPIFF, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end revenue accounting operations including invoice/order approval and revenue memo drafting.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP for subscription and consumption-based revenue.
- Act as primary contact for external auditors regarding revenue and deferred revenue.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close process.
- Partner with FP&A to provide data inputs for revenue and deferred revenue forecasting.
- Design and implement SOX compliance controls over order-to-cash and revenue recognition.
- Manage the end-to-end monthly commission cycle and amortization of sales commissions.
- Mentor and manage revenue accounting staff.
