Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or other analytical discipline
- 3+ years of experience in an analytic role, preferably in risk management of the financial services industry
- Very strong attention to detail
- A self-starter who takes ownership and drives recommendations
- Adaptive to a fast-changing environment
- Flexible in prioritizing work and meeting deadlines
- Excellent SQL (or similar language) programming skills
- Proficiency in Python is a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to key areas such as risk underwriting, pricing, and direct mail marketing
- Partner with product, data science and engineering to design and implement tests
- Develop and maintain valuation frameworks to determine profitability
- Develop dynamic risk assessment frameworks using alternative data
- Design strategy ramp-up to support expansion in new channels or regions
- Support the development of pricing strategies
- Monitor portfolio performance and refine strategies
